About Us

About the Convention

The Iyengar Yoga National Association of the U.S. (IYNAUS) holds a convention every three years. The 2010 convention is specifically for Certified Teachers. IYNAUS also sponsors frequent conferences, which are targeted to yoga students, including newcomers to the Iyengar method, and are held in various regional centers.

It takes the dedication of many volunteers, offering their time, energy and expertise to pull together a convention for all our teachers. The Steering Committee has been at work since Spring 2007 gathering information and making the arrangements to give the Certified Teachers of our community time to reflect, observe, to look within in order to penetrate the depths of the Iyengars’ teachings.
